State Railways of Thailand (SRT) now accepts both electronic and printed tickets for travel on trains. A new style of ticket was introduced in 2021 with a QR code.
Tickets issued electronically now all feature a QR code which the conductor can scan from a mobile telephone screen, tablet or laptop, as well as from a printed version of the ticket.
